Premiere 'While we Watch'
Last week, the documentary While We Watch premiered at the Royal Theatre Tuschinski. An impressive afternoon that captured what we, as researchers in the DETECT project, and the BECA team, have been working on over the past three years.
For nearly three years our teams were followed, together with survivors of cardiac arrest and relatives of victims who courageously share their personal stories. Their perspectives form the human heart of the film, alongside our work on a wristband to automatically detect a cardiac arrest and alert emergency services.
With support from the Hartstichting, While We Watch powerfully shows why this research is so urgently needed.

DETECT-3 study is full!
The DETECT‑3 study is now full! This study focuses on reducing false positives and examining the usability of the CardioWatch. For this study, more than 300 volunteers wore the CardioWatch for two months during their daily lives. Thanks to the large number of registrations, supported in part by the Dutch Heart Foundation’s promotion, the very last participant has now completed the study. Thank you to everyone who contributed, you make this research possible!
